Silhouette

Why does your silhouette feel empty?

Even your shadow won’t believe you.

Sometimes the greater good demands

A lesser evil.

A Smile on your face

But still nobody sees you.

You allow your adopted face, a mask

To hide you

To conceal you.

Invite many to touch you

In hopes that no one feels you

Else someone might fall in love

And, in turn, reveal you.
