Light

The shadows overwhelm me,

what light is mine to own?

Stolen by a constant spin

Or fuses which have blown.

Bulbs burn out

Candles wane

Waves blocked by roofs

And tinted panes.

Yet I do not mean to condemn the dark

it reminds us

How to create a spark.

And just when we’ve run low on fight

The darkness shows us inner light.

Not all is lost in blackness

Only sight

For day surely follows after night
