Saccharine

Sweet, saccharine lips

How I savored their sugars

Sultrily she swayed her hips

I’ve searched long and hard for such a smile

The only bright that rivaled it

Was the shine of her soul

While my own sought substance

What it found was sustenance

As I found great hope in the feminine wellsprings of her spirit

Whispers were preceded by kisses so delicate that the moment became ethereal

We were moving foci in a still shot of romance’s undeniable gravity

Famished, did our hearts lustily dine on the sincerity and depth of our connection

From sunrise to sunset

From beginning to end

Did this poor writer find wealth

In her two-toned eyes

I can’t wait for the days ahead

When her presence, again, brightens my skies
