Forget to Forget
You wrote and said
You’re thankful for everything that I taught you
But you can’t forgive me
Cuz you can’t forget I forgot you.
Yeah, alright, I got you.
I wasn’t the best man
And that fact is still true.
And yeah, I get caught up in all the things that I do.
And yeah, this adult living thing has me stuck with no clue
And yeah, I might forget to pay my bills
But how could I ever forget about you?
I still see you in the streets, on faces of the people I pass.
I see you in magazines, newspapers, and photographs.
And I think about you every time the ice cubes hit the glass.
Trust me it’s easy, when the bottle gets passed
To remember that it’s easy forgetting to forget about the things from your past.
